Job opening: Requirements Engineer / Functional Designer
NetMatch assists travel companies selling their products online. For this NetMatch has developed a .NET application that gives the Internet the place it deserves. To expand the role of e-business specialist for the travel branch further, NetMatch is looking for senior .NET Developers.

For the upcoming time the focus will be on:
- Further adjusting the company to the role of ASP;
- Rolling out the software application TourWeb in the travel branch, nationally (market leader) as well as internationally;
- Focus on service orientated architecture.
Our biggest client group currently contains tour operators that sell their products online with TourWeb.
Job description
The role of the Requirements Engineer / Functional Designer is to understand the business needs of our customers and translate them into a form that will drive the process of core software development. The successful candidate will have responsibility for analyzing, specifying and validating user requirements for our software projects.
The successful candidate will need the right blend of business, technical and soft skills to achieve the following:
- Work closely with Product Management to help formulate and plan major software development initiatives into a version release plan;
- Work closely with our Western Europe customers from the tourism industry, capture and document business and user requirements for software development initiatives;
- Analyze and express those requirements as detailed functional designs using detailed System Use Cases, UML diagrams, non-functional specifications and user interface mock-ups that will be used to drive Object Oriented Analysis and Design;
- Assisting in functional acceptance testing;
- Collaborate closely with the development team, including architects, developers and testers to ensure the delivery of world-class software solutions.
Demands
- Excellent functional design skills including use case analysis and user interaction/storyboard elaboration;
- Extensive experience of UML and use case modeling. Experience of requirements management tools and UML modeling tools is advantageous;
- Experience in business and elaborating requirements into a functional design;
- Good technical understanding of web applications;
- Good understanding of the software lifecycle;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills: communication with clients as well as with developers and testers;
- Good writing, reading and speaking English skills. German is a plus;
- Independent person: willing to take responsibility; capable of organizing his work by himself;
- Experience (or affinity) with functional acceptance testing.
